National service & the OMBAC connection
Jason Wood played prop for OMBAC and later led the club as head coach, president and general manager. Cal’s 2007 preview describes him as a long-serving territorial all-star, and its February 2008 report names him as OMBAC’s first-year head coach. Princeton’s visiting coach also identifies Wood among the OMBAC coaches who helped the Tigers train in San Diego in 2013. His named DJCoil Rugby interview preserves his voice from the Elite City Sevens coaching era.
