National service & the OMBAC connection
Zach Pangelinan joined OMBAC in 2007 after moving to the mainland from Guam. Major League Rugby’s milestone biography records a national club sevens runner-up finish in his first OMBAC season and the Pacific Rugby Premiership MVP award in 2014. He made his USA sevens debut in 2009 and his fifteens debut against Tonga on November 17, 2012. He later played for Randwick and became a founding Houston SaberCats player. The photograph here shows his MLR playing career, rather than a USA match.
